Progressive Housing:
Progressive Housing Society provides support services to adults living with mental health issues or facing
homelessness.
Services Currently Provided: The Emergency Shelter, Norland Place Supportive Housing, Outreach
services, and mental health support programs remain open. (04/08/20)

Warming Centres:
The City of Burnaby’s Warming Centres provide overnight shelter for vulnerable people during the
winter months, when temperatures drop and circumstances may become dangerous for those without
stable housing
Services Currently Provided: Two Warming Centres remain open:

  •  Beresford Warming Centre - Remaining open until further notice
    5970 Beresford Street -located in a City Operations Centre

       Hours: 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily until further notice

  •  Burnaby Lake Arena - Opening at 8 p.m. on March 26

        3677 Kensington Avenue
        Hours: 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. daily until further notice (04/08/20)
